Subject: Ph.D. Position in Superconducting Qubits and Materials

Hi Michele,

My research group at Louisiana State University (" Theory of Quantum Circuits and Materials") is currently inviting applications for a Ph.D. position, starting ideally in September 2025. The research will broadly focus on superconducting qubits and materials, with opportunities to contribute to both theoretical and experimental efforts in the field of quantum information science.

Qualified undergraduate students with a strong background in physics or applied physics and an interest in quantum computing, superconductivity, or quantum materials are encouraged to apply.

The position comes with a full research assistantship (RA) from the beginning. The current average graduate student stipend at LSU is $32,112 per year.

Interested candidates should send their CV directly to cschrade@lsu.edu. Applications will be coordinated with the Department of Physics & Astronomy’s graduate admissions process.

Many thanks,
