Dear Colleague,
we are glad to announce the NQSTI International School "Advances in solid-state quantum technologies" to be held in Catania (Italy) from June 30th to July 5th 2025.
Solid-state quantum technologies are nowadays at the core of innovating applied science and fundamental research in numerous fields. The school is aimed at PhD students wishing to acquire initial training and skills in the field of solid-state quantum technologies. Interested students are asked to pre-register via the form at https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%...
The School aims at providing an in-depth on the following topics:
superconducting quantum circuits semiconductor-based qubits impurity-based quantum components topological superconductors and Majorana fermions many-body open quantum systems spectroscopy readout and multiplexing sensing and metrology optimal control and machine learning quantum thermodynamics and thermal transport modular architectures for quantum computing
with an interdisciplinary approach that alternates lectures on theoretical and experimental aspects. Speakers include (J. Koch, A. Chatterjee, N. Fabbri, R. Fazio, M. Thorwart, M. Esposito, F. Mattei, B. van Heck, M. Paternostro).
The objective is to bring together a public with different educational backgrounds, to encourage cooperation, as well as cultural and scientific exchanges. The school is fully taught in English and is organized by the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (nqsti.it) .
Social events and guided tours will be organized. The school will take place at Camplus Catania (/https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.camplus...) at walking distance from the seaside. Further information are available at the school web site, https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fnqsti.it%2....
Please feel free to forward this announcement to anyone you think may be interested. We look forward to your participation.
